How this estimate works

We estimate “Solo Tax” as the extra you pay traveling solo vs splitting the same booking with another traveler.

Hotels: nights × nightly rate × 50%.
Example: if a room costs 200 in your selected currency, the “extra” traveling solo is roughly 100.
Cruises: nights × per‑night fare (per person) × (multiplier − 1).
Default assumes paying for two (2×). True solo cabins can be closer to ~1.25×.
Tours: if there was a single supplement, we estimate the “extra” portion using a typical 40% (often ~30–50%).
If you know your supplement %, enter it — otherwise leave it blank and we’ll use 40%.
